Review Marks

Review marks are one of the revision tools contained in Taxprep Forms. Review marks are tiny symbols that you can place in any cell to indicate that it must be reviewed by you or a third party.

The following review marks are available:

Symbol

Name of the review mark

Shortcut key

Recommended when...

First review

Ctrl+1

The reviewer wants to indicate that the content of a cell has been reviewed once.

Second review

Ctrl+2

The reviewer wants to indicate that the content of a cell has been reviewed a second time.

Error

Ctrl+3

The reviewer wants to let a preparer know that the content of a cell contains an error.

Uncertainty

Ctrl+4

The preparer wants to indicate that he is uncertain of the content of a cell. This mark shows that the content of a cell represents an estimate of the actual value of the data and that it absolutely must be verified.

You can make an estimate for all types of cells.

Other

Ctrl+5

The preparer wants to indicate that the content of a cell must be reviewed for a reason other than the one previously mentioned.

When a review mark is added to a cell that is found in several forms, the review mark is displayed in all these places.

A cell may contain more than one review mark at a time. However, the , and review marks cannot be simultaneously applied to one cell: these are mutually exclusive review marks.
