Options - Client Files

This panel groups the options that apply to client files, diagnostics and Xpress.

Options	Show AutoText suggestions	Displays suggestions for inserting text in the appropriate cells according to the data that has already been entered. By default, Taxprep Forms saves 25 entries per form in its memory. This number can be modified.
	Confirm overriding	Displays a confirmation message each time that you enter data that is calculated in a cell with a possible override.
	Show diagnostics indicators	Displays a red triangle in the upper right-hand corner of cells that are linked to a diagnostic.
	Identify cells with data entered last year	Identifies cells in which data was entered last year and in which no value has been entered or rolled forward in the current year.
	Recalculate automatically if Taxprep Forms version is different	Recalculates a client file without a confirmation when it is opened with a version of Taxprep Formsthat is different from the original used to create the client file. The amounts may vary following the recalculation. Clear the check box if you want a confirmation message to display and to have the possibility of opening the client file as a read-only file.

	Lock data when status is "Completed"	Locks the data when the client file status is "Completed".

Diagnostics print settings	Portrait or landscape/ Font size	Selects the page orientation (portrait or landscape) and the font size used to print diagnostics.
Xpress print settings	Portrait or landscape/ Font size	Selects the page orientation (portrait or landscape) and the font size used to print the Xpress list.

File save options

Reopen forms from last work session

Allows you to open the forms as they were displayed the last time the client file was saved, regardless of who saved it.

Note that Taxprep retains a list of the opened forms for a given return, as well as the curser's position, whether this option is selected or not.

Show file properties before saving

Displays the properties before the client file is saved. Once the properties are displayed, you can enter a note or lock the data.

Backup active client file every XX minutes

Saves a backup copy of the client file at the specified interval. If a work session ends abnormally, Taxprep Forms will automatically open this copy in the next session.
