Active Return Properties
The active return properties are displayed under three tabs: General, Attached Files and Security.
General tab
The General tab contains the following information:
- trust's name;
- trust's account number;
- return status;
- EFILE status of the T3 slips, NR4 slips and RL-16 slips;
- preparer’s notes ;
- whether or not data is locked ; and
- whether or not the return is password-protected .
Security tab
The Security tab contains the following information:
- password for client file protection;
- check box allowing for transmission if password unknown.
- check box allowing you to use the same password for exported data protection as the password for client file protection;
- password for exported data protection.
How to display active return properties
To display the active return properties, proceed in the following manner:
- On the File menu, click Properties.
- Press F11.
- Display the properties pane in the Client Manager.
How to display return properties before saving
Taxprep for Trusts can automatically display return properties before saving client file data; this prompts you to modify the different return statuses throughout return processing.
To display properties before saving, proceed as follows:
- On the Tools menu, click Options and Settings.
- Under Options, click Tax Returns.
- In the File save options area, select the Show file properties before saving check box.
- Click OK.
