Taxprep for Trusts 2022.2.1

Print to a PDF File

The Print to PDF file option allows you to print the following documents to a PDF file:

This option may be useful for archiving and verification purposes:

  • the PDF format allows you to store a document in electronic format rather than paper; and
  • a document can be transmitted to a client or a person responsible for verification regardless of whether they have the Taxprep program or not since Adobe© distributes the Adobe Reader program free of charge on its Web site.

To print a document to a PDF file, select the appropriate option in the dialog box that displays during the print job. Only the printing of returns to PDF files can be defined by default before starting the print job.

Notes:

  • A PDF file will be created for each print job (a print job may represent the printing of a client's returns according to a print format, for example).
  • As the PDF files that you generate contain confidential tax data, we recommend you protect these files with passwords.
  • When a PDF file is created from a client file, Taxprep for Trusts prompts by default a PDF file name containing the trust's identification. If the prompted PDF file name is not suitable, you can change when you save it or rename it.
  • When you print slips, you may also create separate PDF files for copies intended for beneficiaries.
