Save a Backup Copy Automatically
When this option is selected, Taxprep for Trusts saves a backup copy of the active client file at regular intervals. If Taxprep for Trusts terminates unexpectedly, you can restore client files when rebooting.
Taxprep for Trusts’s default is to automatically save a backup copy every five minutes. To modify this option, proceed as follows:
- In the Tools menu, click Options and Settings.
- Under Options, click Tax Returns.
- In the File save options area, select the Backup active client file every: xx minutes check box then enter the frequency (in minutes) for automatic backup.
- Click OK.
Note: This backup copy does not replace the client file, but rather saves a copy of the client file in a backup file using a .tmp extension.
