About the electronic transmission of the Alberta tax returns (Net File)
Corporate Taxprep allows for the electronic transmission (Net File) of corporate tax returns to the Alberta Tax and Revenue Administration (ATRA).
This filing option allows corporations that meet the eligibility criteria to file their tax returns directly with the ATRA using the Net File online service. No access or registration code is required. The Net File service is available from 7 a.m. to midnight (MST) from Monday through Saturday and 5:30 p.m. to midnight on Sunday.
Eligibility criteria
The electronic transmission of Alberta corporate tax returns can be used to prepare tax returns when the following eligibility criteria are met:
- the corporation has a valid Alberta account (CAN);

for taxation years ending after 2007;
- the return is an acceptable size (if your transmission exceeds the acceptable size, you will receive an error message to that effect).
