Paying the Balance Due

Paying the balance due to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)

Three options are available for payment when a corporation has a balance due:

Pay electronically

Many financial institutions offer the convenience of paying corporate tax via their telephone and Internet banking services.

Pay at a financial institution

The corporation can make a payment at its financial institution in Canada. It must enter the payment amount on a remittance voucher and give the voucher to its financial institution when making payment.

Pay by mail

The corporation can make a payment by mail. Please use a remittance voucher when making payment. This will help the CRA credit the corporation's payment correctly.

Payment of the balance due to Revenu Québec (RQ)

You may pay amounts owing to Revenu Québec using the online payment service or preauthorized debit available via Clic Revenu's electronic services.

Note: If the balance owing is $2 or less, it is not necessary to make a payment.
