Select Taxpayers for the Notice of assessment (NOA) Download
The download is performed for all taxpayers in the same client file.
The Download notice of assessment dialog box used to select taxpayers is comprised of two main sections:
- the upper portion allows you to indicate whether you want to download Notices of Assessment from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), through the Notice of assessment (NOA) Download service, for each taxpayer in the client file.
- CRA: By default, all taxpayers for which no diagnostic is displayed are selected for download, provided there is no critical error (e.g., service not available) that would result in the download not being available for this tax authority.
In addition, taxpayers are selected by default when the electronic transmission of the federal return has been accepted and an electronic option for the delivery of the Notice of Assessment has been selected on Form T183. - NOA status: The NOA status indicates whether the Notice of Assessment has been "Downloaded" or "Not Downloaded" for each of the taxpayers.
- the lower portion displays the errors, warnings or information relating to the download service or the client file, where applicable. This portion might not be displayed if no problem is detected and the service works perfectly.
- CRA: By default, all taxpayers for which no diagnostic is displayed are selected for download, provided there is no critical error (e.g., service not available) that would result in the download not being available for this tax authority.
Note: You can perform the Notice of assessment (NOA) download from the EFILE transmission results dialog box under certain conditions. For more information, consult the topic Use the Notice of assessment (NOA) Download service.
