Print Diagnostics
Personal Taxprep allows you to print the diagnostics in a document (either in PDF format or a paper version), including the column headings, and to modify the print settings.
How to print the diagnostics from the active return in PDF format or paper version
- In the diagnostics pane, right-click, then click Print Diagnostics .
- From a form, on the File menu, click Print Diagnostics.
- From the Form Manager, select the Form Diagnostics (Jump Code: DIAGNOSTICS), then on the File menu, click Print Selected Forms.
Note: Personal Taxprep will print the list of diagnostics as it is displayed in the diagnostics pane, according to the sort order and the filter settings that have been selected.
How to print the diagnostics from several returns
To print the diagnostics from several returns, you must include the Form Diagnostics in a print format. To print the diagnostics from several returns, proceed as follows:
- Consult the About Print Formats page to learn how to create or to edit a print format.
- In the list of forms, select the Diagnostics - Diagnostics (Jump Code: DIAGNOSTICS), then define the "Print when?" setting as Always.
- Click on the toolbar in the Print Format view to save the changes.
How to modify the print settings for diagnostics
You can customize the diagnostics print settings by modifying the font size and paper orientation.
- On the Tools menu, click Options and Settings.
- Under Options, click Tax Returns.
- In the Diagnostics print settings area:
to modify the paper orientation, click Portrait or Landscape;
to modify the font size, select the size in the Font size box.
- Click OK.
