About Rate Tables
The calculations performed by Personal Taxprep are based on rates supplied by our team of tax analysts or by you. A rate table contains various tax, credit and deduction rates as well as other data which pertain to each tax government level (federal, provincial and territorial).
Personal Taxprep supplies you with rate tables with content based on the Income Tax Act and various budgets. These predefined rate tables can be modified, for example, for tax planning purposes.

To modify the rate table for the current client file, proceed as follows:
- From the Form Manger, display Form Rates, Rates federal - Table and Values Used in the Return (Jump Code: RATES FED) .
- Select the rate table that you want to modify.
- Modify the rates to be used for the purposes of calculations made by Personal Taxprep.

When you create planner files, by default Personal Taxprep uses the Planner rate table to do the tax calculations.

to save the changes.
- Click the
button to return to the template view.
