Import Data from a Planner File
Personal Taxprep allows you to import data from a planner file into a client file.
The data retrieved during this process is data that has been entered or imported into the planner file created with last year's version of Personal Taxprep.

-
On the File menu, click Import Data, then click Planner File Data.
- Select the planner file from which you want to import data, then click Open. Personal Taxprep will search for a match between the social insurance numbers indicated in the planner file and those in the current client file.
When an identical SIN is detected in both files, it is possible to import planner data for this taxpayer. - In the Import Planner File Data dialog box, select the taxpayers whose planner data you want to import.
Note: All taxpayers in the client file will appear in the Import Planner File Data dialog box, but only taxpayers whose SIN is identical in both files can be selected for data import. In addition, taxpayers for whom an identical SIN is detected are selected by default.
- Click Import.
Notes: To help you verify the accuracy of the imported data, two Xpress filters are made available to you:
