How to Assign the "Completed" Status to an Accepted Return

When a transmitted document is accepted by the CRA or RQ, the EFILE status of the document is changed to "Accepted."

When the "Accepted" value is defined for all applicable EFILE statuses, the program can change the status of the return to "Completed."

This option allows you to more efficiently manage the list of clients displayed in the Client Manager.

To define the change in status of the return by default when a transmitted return is accepted, proceed as follows:

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options and Settings.
  2. Under Electronic Services, click General.
  3. In the Others area, select the Change status to "Completed" when EFILE status is "Accepted" check box.
  4. Click OK.
Note: When you file a federal and a Québec return, both must be accepted before the status can be changed.
