Syntax of PDF filenames

By clicking , you will display the Syntax of PDF filenames dialog box where you can select the options used to name PDF files, as well as the order in which these options will be used.

Here are the different options available for PDF files in a return:

Client file name This is the Taxprep client file and its extension.

First name This the first name entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Last name This is the name entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Print format name This is the name of the print template used.

Social insurance number This is the social insurance number entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Client code This is the client code entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Client code (CCH iFirm) This is the CCH iFirm client code entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Taxation year This is the taxation year entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Tax return type This is the type of return.

Delivery method This is the delivery method entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID)

Date This is the date on which printing was performed.

Time This is the time when printing was performed.

Form title This is the name of the form given in the Title column of the Form Manager.

Form description This is the description given to the Description column in the Form Manager.

Client code This is the client code entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Client code (CCH iFirm) This if the CCH iFirm client code entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Taxation year This is the taxation year entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Tax return type This is the type of tax return

Delivery method This is the delivery method entered in Form Identification (Jump Code: ID).

Date This is the date on which printing was performed.

Time This is the time when printing was performed.

To configure the syntax of PDF filenames, proceed as follows:

1. Select () the desired options to name the PDF files.
2. Click or to change the order of the options.
