- In the appropriate copy of Form Family Profile (Jump Code: FAM), clear the Add a dependant's return check box.
A warning message displays. - Click Yes to delete the dependant's return.
- Personal Taxprep creates a new untitled client file for the dependant's tax return and will prompt you to save it.
Click Yes to display the Save As box and enter the new file name .
Note: if you click No, the new client file may be saved later. - Click OK.
When the operation is completed, the copy of the Form Family Profile containing the dependant's information remains displayed: it still contains the basic dependant's information. If applicable, you can delete them permanently by deleting the copy.
